Charbroil Grill2Go® Portable Gas Grill

I bought this to downsize from my original weber Q and also get something that operated better at higher elevations. The weber has a much large grill surface then I typically need and struggles to stay hot when used over 8,000′ The smaller X200 heats up fast, is easy to regulate the heat and has no flare-up. I also like just being able to throw un-soaked wood chips on the grill. I thought I would use this exclusively for camping since I have a large outdoor grill on my deck but the performance of this is really quite good and 100% better regarding flare-ups which my large classic-style grill with open porcelain coated cast iron grates is horrible at dealing with. I also like how the regulator and propane bottle easily remove for storing inside the grill for transport or if it is going to rain during the night (obviously wait until the grill is cold!) I use foil to line the grease catch so I don’t have to clean it .. just toss the foil. I also followed the prep guidelines using canola oil to season the grill grate, cover, etc. I use cast iron pans every day so this is not un-familiar to me. I have a dedicated oil brush for the grill ($3) and coat the grates with canola oil once the grill has cooled down. So …sears really well, lightweight, heats fast, easy temperature regulation, efficient propane usage, no flare-ups, handles wood chips.
